Honorary Student Board Member
The Chicago Board of Education is seeking an Honorary Student Board Member for the 2019–2020 School Year.

An Honorary Student Board Member is selected annually to represent the CPS student body by attending the Chicago Board of Education’s monthly meetings. This individual will also be an appointed member of the CPS Student Advisory Council. Interested rising Juniors and Seniors (current 10th and 11th graders) must submit an application to the Board Office before 5:00 pm on April 26, 2019.
Submission requirements are detailed in the application. To be eligible, the student must be or have been a student council officer or an LSC student representative, or proven leadership. The student must also hold a 3.0 G.P.A. or above and have an attendance rate of 90% or higher.
A $1,000 scholarship will be presented to the Honorary Student Board Member after graduating high school and upon attending a two or four year college or university.
