DESCRIPTION:The meeting will be held at CPS Loop Office\, 42 West Madison S
 treet\, Garden Level\, Board Room. The Board President and the Superintend
 ent/Chief Executive Officer have determined that registered speakers who w
 ish to present during Public Participation may have the option to particip
 ate in person at the location of the committee meeting or virtually via an
  electronic platform. The public will have access to the meeting via live 
 stream at cpsboe.org.\nThe Public Participation segment of the meeting wil
 l begin as indicated in the meeting agenda and proceed in accordance with 
 Public Participation guidelines. Committee Meetings will be live-streamed 
 to the general public on the Board website (www.cpsboe.org).\nFor the Octo
 ber 15\, 2026 Special Education Advsiory Committee Meeting\, advance regis
 tration to speak will be available beginning Tuesday\, October 13th\, at 1
 0:30 a.m. and will close on Wednesday\, October 14th\, at 10:30 a.m. Anyon
 e interested in speaking can sign up. After the 24-hour registration perio
 d\, a lottery will randomly select a set number of speakers from those who
  registered. For example\, if 100 people register\, the lottery might sele
 ct five (5) of them to speak. This process provides everyone with a fair o
 pportunity to address the Board. Advance registration during this period i

 he public agenda and notice is posted through 5 p.m. the day after the Spe
 cial Education Advisory Committee meeting will be submitted to the Board f
 or their consideration and posted within five (5) business days on our web
 site at www.cpsboe.org.
