NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON MODIFICATION APPLICATION
The Chicago Board of Education will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the CPS Loop Office, 42 W. Madison Street, Garden Level, Board Room. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comment on a proposed application to modify a portion of Section 5/14A-32 of the School Code to allow for the district to have additional planning and implementation time to establish a Board Policy on Accelerated Placement for the 2019-2020 school year.
Public Comment from educators, parents and members of the public about the proposal will be taken during the Public Hearing.
Speaker registration for the Public Hearing will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on the 1st Floor of the Madison Street Lobby. The Public Comment segment of the Public Hearing will conclude after the last person who has signed in to speak has spoken, or at 10:00 a.m. whichever occurs first.
